There's no better way to honor spring's arrival and the excitement of a looming summer break than with a fun, fruity cocktail.

A Grapefruit Teaser can do the trick - it's jam-packed with tropical flavors and has a bright, summery color to match, like the liquid version of a pretty lady walking down the beach in a sundress and matching straw hat.

This cocktail, made from coconut rum and grapefruit juice topped off with a splash of lime, conjures up images of sunglasses, swimsuits and sunshine.

The sweet coconut flavor of the rum balances the tart grapefruit and lime juices, and the rum barely makes its presence known - hence the name "teaser."

Anyone looking for a stiff drink that gets straight to the point will probably want to add more rum to the mix. As it is, the Grapefruit Teaser is more appropriate poolside during a July afternoon than bar side in a nightclub.

For an even fruitier taste, try tossing the ingredients into a blender with some ice. Make it creamy with some coconut milk and serve with a brightly colored straw.
