Kitchen: check. Two teams: check. One head chef who’s ready to whip the teams into shape: check.

Chef Gordon Ramsay is back to his loving self in season six of “Hell’s Kitchen,” which premieres with a two-hour-long episode July 21 at 8 p.m. on Fox.

As in other seasons, it’s not going to be easy to win the prize of a lifetime. The two teams will be cooking for the Hell’s Kitchen diners, and when the chefs are asked to prepare their signature dishes — well, let’s just say Ramsay doesn’t hold back his opinion.

That night begins all the trouble and Hell’s Kitchen truly becomes a hell for the show’s hopeful chefs. Tensions become high and nobody is safe from elimination. It’s a night of firsts for Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay is in the most foul mood he’s ever been in.

It seems like common sense would step in at some point and everyone would learn their job and progress instead of going back to square one. Some of the chefs try to do too much and end up making matters worse for, not only themselves, but their team, as well.

Even though the show is about chefs competing for one prize, nobody will win if everyone is trying to look like the best person instead of working together as a team.

Two contestants to be on the lookout for are Lovely and Joseph. Lovely is far from what her name might suggest. She is lazy, doesn’t do her job and lets down her team. On the other hand, Joseph tries too hard to impress Ramsay.

With the twists and turns of what seems to be a promising new season, the ending will have you tuning in for the next week.
