N.E.R.D. deserves bigger following

Pharrell Williams is a popular celebrity and music producer, but why isn’t his band N.E.R.D. popular?

Williams and his production partner Chad Hugo, together known as The Neptunes, have produced huge hits for Kanye West, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake, but N.E.R.D.’s material has failed to see the same success.

N.E.R.D. released its third album, “Seeing Sounds,” this year to rave reviews, but its singles barely reached a position on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

It’s confusing because the trio, which includes Hugo and Shay Haley, has a sound that is a unique fusion of R&B, hip-hop and rock, with soothing vocals from Williams. It’s a winning combination, but listeners don’t seem to be interested.

For those who have been a fan of Williams’ produced hits, look into his music with N.E.R.D. It’s top-grade music with great energy, and it will have you dancing after the first song.
