There's no doubt about this
Instead of talking about the horrible place that mainstream music is in right now, which was clearly on display at the American Music Awards Sunday, let’s talk about some real musicians.
No Doubt has announced it will be hitting the road in 2009. According to No Doubt’s official Web site, band members talked about how they miss playing with the band.
Bassist Tony Kanal said it’s been too long and it’s time to play some rock ‘n’ roll.
Lead singer Gwen Stefani said they should pack up the babies and hit the road. Seeing the fans and playing their old songs will inspire them to write new material, she said. The rest of the guys agreed, so it’s on.
In 2009, No Doubt will tour with their classic material as they write a new and original album.
Their Web site also announced the band will headline The Bamboozle Festival on May 3, 2009.
Watch out because it looks like No Doubt will be taking over 2009. I can’t wait to see some true rock stars take over mainstream music instead of Disney’s manufactured pop stars.
