Weekly dance party to host weekend show
Do you have plans for Saturday? If so, cancel them — it’s Neon Saturday!
Mac’s Bar, 2700 E. Michigan Ave., in Lansing, will be celebrating the first Neon Saturday on Nov. 15.
Mac’s Bar usually hosts Neon Tuesday, a free dance party with performances by several local and regional DJs.
This week, however, the DJs are getting a highly coveted Saturday night slot so they can reach out to a larger audience.
This event will be a little different than the regular Tuesday routine. There is a $5 cover and Mac’s Bar owner Chuck Mannino promised there will be a disco ball.
It should be a good time to dance and listen to several mixing styles by different DJs.
It’s also a chance to support some of your fellow Spartans — Rob Perry and DJ Moses.
I will especially be looking forward to DJ Moses’ set because he is similar to the very popular DJ Girl Talk who, coincidentally, played in Pontiac earlier this week.
The night will also feature DJ Pretty Boi, DJ Gallons, DJ M.O. and DJ Narn.
It should be a crazy night filled with music, dance and fun. Doors open at 8 p.m. and it’s open to everyone 18 and older.
