Freddie Mercury warms up cold mornings

Today, I was walking to class, listening to the headphones I had stolen from my brother (don’t worry, he deserves it) when I realized to just what extent my ears were actually freezing off.

From that moment on, all I could think about was the fact that I wished my ears would just warm up. All they do is get cold while I walk to class. That was their only function at this point in time, especially since there was nothing coming on my iPod that seemed worthy of listening to. My usual playlists seemed stale and boring. I knew every word and I dreaded every time a new one came on. I was nothing but disappointed every two to five minutes. It was awful.

Then, miraculously, I heard a voice that gave my ears a purpose once more and helped me remember why they were there to begin with and made me thankful they were. That voice, of course, belonged to the one, the only, Freddie Mercury.

And with this, Freddie Mercury gave me and my freezing ears hope and warmth once more.

So, I believed a thank you was in order, to Mr. Fahrenheit himself. You are epic, you are classic and you are a champion.

I could go into a list of reasons why I love him, or a long winded explanation of why he’s the greatest vocalist of our time. I could even tell a story about how my dad used to listen to Queen when I was little. But I think i’m just going to keep that between Freddie and I.

That’s all. Cheers, Freddie.
