Movie titles lacking in originality
My last assignment was to find upcoming movies in 2009, which was actually fun. I got to read up on new movies and figure out what was worth seeing. While I was looking for this information, I went through many movie titles and noticed a couple similarities that I find slightly irritating.

Holiday season movie releases disappointing
Over break I excitedly returned to my hometown’s megaplex with the hopes of seeing a good movie. While walking into the theater I excitedly turned to a friend of mine and said, “I sure haven’t been to a movie in awhile!” After the first half hour of Frank Miller’s “The Spirit” I quickly understood why I am so hesitant to shell out a small fortune for the price of admission. The movie tried to combine comedic satyr with film noir inspired by the original comic strip, trying to combine both the hardboiled nature of film noir with satirical comedy resulted in a film that was neither funny nor intriguing.
