'Blade Runner' no comparison to 'Star Wars' series

According to a new Moviefone.com editors’ poll, Ridley Scott’s 1982 film “Blade Runner” is the best science-fiction film of all time.

Really?

“Blade Runner” is a decent movie. But let’s face it — there’s been no sci-fi movie that’s had the kind of impact “Star Wars” had when it was first released in 1977.

Without “Star Wars,” there is no market for “Blade Runner,” which is basically half the action, emotion and drama of George Lucas’s epic original film.

Sure, it probably gets dull to continually praise “Star Wars.” But give credit where credit is due, and don’t invent bad polls to try and get attention.

Just because Star Wars had “impact” doesn’t mean in was the best of all time….
Quality over cash.
