Election day will make history
Tomorrow is going to be a big day, and it can all be witnessed from the comfort of your couch.
Election coverage is sure to be on several channels throughout the day and into the night.
Aside from the immense historical significance of tomorrow, the 2008 presidential election is the first time many college-aged people are able to vote for a president of the U.S.
And, like typical college students, I’ve heard talk of several drinking games that will be under way as soon as people tune into the coverage.
Every time a state turns blue or red on the official maps that show which states are voting which way, for example, students will lift their glasses.
Considering some polls won’t close until after midnight, it could keep things interesting.
So turn on your TV tomorrow night, at least for a little while — even if you don’t plan on getting tipsy.
It’s history in the making.
