TV leads to toddlers

Don’t watch “Friends” if you’re a teen: You might get pregnant.

A study conducted by the journal Pediatrics said sexually active teenagers who watch TV shows that include sexual content are twice as likely to become pregnant.

For example, a teen who watches “Sex and the City” is more likely to get pregnant than one who watches The History Channel.

Those who conducted the study said these shows suggest teen pregnancy is not as serious as it really is.

Couldn’t the same be said for movies like “Juno,” which suggest that, as long as you lace your lingo with cute anecdotes, getting knocked up isn’t that big of a deal?

There are plenty of other issues that could be linked to why teens get pregnant: lack of proper parenting, inappropriate environment, etc.

I just don’t think Carrie Bradshaw is the reason that some teens have a bun in the oven.
