West Side Story Auditions
Owosso Community Players, a theater performance troupe approximately 20 miles northeast of Lansing in historic Owosso, starts its 2008-2009 season with the classic "West Side Story."
Those wishing to audition should have a song of their choice prepared to sing acapella. Audition songs should NOT be from the show.
There will be a dance portion of the auditions so wear appropriate clothing.
There are numerous roles available for both men and women ranging in ages from teenage to adult and experience levels from beginner to veteran.

An Evening with the Madrigals
Spend "An Evening with the Madrigals" from Grand Ledge High School. The "Madrigal Singers" will be presenting their program of music at the Grand Ledge Opera House. The performance is sponsored by the Friends of the Opera House who appreciate your support of our river walk fundraising efforts. The program will include classical as well as contemporary selections that should satisfy the musical tastes of most people who enjoy a cappella singing, and of course, it offers the opportunity for several of the group to give individual performances. The program will be held in the main floor of the 1884 Opera House, which has excellent acoustics.
Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students. Tickets are available at the Grand Ledge Opera House, MacDowell's Hearth and Floral, and Ace Hardware. For further information call (517) 627-1443.
