<description>At more than 9 feet in length and with 61 bars made from Honduran Rosewood, Nathaniel Bartlett&#8217;s Malletech M5.0 Imperial Grand five-octave marimba is an impressive instrument. Using four mallets, two in each hand, Bartlett strikes the bars of his instrument at varying speed and placement to create the desired notes, all the while coordinating his performance with computer-generated sounds.</description>
